is considered one of the most severe forms of headache
It is thought to affect more than 250,000 adults in the US.
There are 2 types of cluster headache:

The length and number of attacks can vary
During a cluster headache cycle, attack frequency can range from once every other day to 8 times a day, and attacks can last anywhere from 15 minutes to up to 3 hours.
